IT IS NOT CALLED SKIRT, LEARN WHAT IT IS CALLED.

What's up people, welcome to my blog. Today we need to learn the different names attached to each skirt because their names actually bring out their uniqueness. Surprising most people refer to them collectively as skirt.
There are different type of skirts but not everyone knows about this. Most people just think that skirts are the same and that it is called skirt so they don't bother themselves knowing the real name of the skirt. But don't worry in this blog I'll be teaching you a lot about the names and the meanings of different type of skirts. Also in my other articles that I will be posting later on, I'll be teaching you how to sew this skirts so stay tuned, follow my blog and don't forget to like, share and comment.

#Straight
just as the name implies straight skirt is a type of skirt that is being cut straight except for the waist part which is being made a bit smaller. A straight skirt is usually loose because it has no fitting, the shape of the hips is not been achieved it just goes straight as the name implies. This style is usually made for children especially toodlers. The straight skirt is usually sewn with an elastic band. This elastic band allows it to sit on the waist and hold the skirt firm to the waist. They are mostly worn as causuals.

#Pencil
The pencil skirt is always with fitting and gives a smart look. This skirt brings out the shape of your body from your waist to your knee. The skirt is on like the straight skirt and it is also better than the straight skirt because it brings out the perfect shape of your waist an your hips. Some office skirts are pencil. They can be worn with causals, shirt or a crop top.

# mini
This skirt sit on the thigh. This Skirt are below the knee. They also make your legs look longer and they are usually worn during hot weathers. Mini skirts are usually wornnby teenagers and children it makes them look smart but some adults then to wear them. 

#Highwaist
The skirt suits under the bust. It is worn where the waistline falls. The best outfit for this skirt is a crop top. Highwaist skirt allows you to tuck in your your top and while doing that, it brings out the full beauty of the skirt. Highwaist can be attributed to any type of skirt as long as the skirt sits under the bus and also on the waistline.

#A-line
This skirt is slightly flare. Due to the fact that it's not a full circle makes it have a shape that looks like an A. It works with any body shape and can be worn with any type of top. It is simple to sew and easy to wear it can be worn for a party or any event.

#Circle
This is a 360 full circle type of skirt. The skirt is cut into a round shape without any joining on the sides. It can be also worn with any type of top. This skirt is mostly worn be children.

#Gypsy
Not everyone knows about this type of skirt. The skirt is an old fashioned type of skirt. It looks more like different layers of skirts being added together. It usually big and long. This skirt is quite hard to sew and easy to wear. It is usually worn by dancers.

#Wrap
Just as the name implies this type of skirt is being sown to be wrapped around the waist. It is made to overlap for fullness and less revealing of body while walking.

#Accordion
This type of skirt are being plated accordingly just as it says with the name. It is more in the family of flare but this is abit different. It is fully pleated with the pleats laying perfectly and pressed. This skirt allows easy movement.

#Godet
This is an A-line skirt with extra pieces of fabric in between. The fabric are more of triangular pieces that look more like panels. This gives the skirt more width and volume. The skirt is actually not in vogue anymore. The triangular panels are more of flare and attached to the skirt so that it can look like a full circular flare skirt.
